Use this free generator to create a Swiss QR-bill as a PDF in under a minute, the official successor to the old orange and red payment slips (Einzahlungsschein). No account, no watermark, no subscription. Enter sender, client and line items, enable the Swiss QR payment part and download the finished invoice.
From payment slip to QR-bill
Since 1 October 2022 the old Swiss payment slips (the orange ESR and the red ES) are no longer valid. They have been replaced by the QR-bill: a normal invoice with a Swiss QR code in the payment part that carries all the payment details.
So creating a payment slip today means creating a QR-bill. Your client scans the QR code in their banking app and the payment is filled in within seconds, including amount, IBAN and reference.
IBAN or QR-IBAN: which do you need?
Your regular IBAN is enough for a QR-bill. With it you create invoices without a reference or with a Creditor Reference (SCOR).
You only need a QR-IBAN if you want to use a QR reference (QRR), the successor to the orange ESR reference number, which helps you reconcile incoming payments automatically. Your bank issues the QR-IBAN free of charge.
ISO 20022 and accepted by every bank
The generator produces the Swiss QR code following the SIX Swiss Implementation Guidelines (standard ISO 20022). The QR-bill is read by every Swiss bank and banking app, from PostFinance to UBS, Raiffeisen and the cantonal banks.
The Swiss QR payment part supports CHF and EUR. You can also create invoices in USD or GBP, in that case without the QR payment part.
